Biography
My name is Nathaniel Payne. Online, you may find me using the name Doctor Setebos. I live in the sheltered land of the midwest, born and raised in a small farming town in the center of Iowa. I attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated in 2000 with a degree in secondary English education. My goal was to teach high school English. I failed. Instead, I entered the IT field and am currently employed as an IT Projects technical analyst. I am 30 years old, married, with two boys — a 4-year-old and a just-under-1-year-old. We are all of us absolutely addicted to playing our new Nintendo Wii.

Most of my online time is spent sifting through Evil Avatar, a gaming community, and doing some sporadic blogging at Nerdflood. The rest is spent reading and managing my plethora of RSS feeds in Google Reader.

In my free time I write (usually science fiction, though I’ve dabbled with children’s writing more recently), I draw (see my work over at Evil Avatar Webcomics!) and play guitar (I’m not talking about that). I’m also a contributing writer for Zoinks! Webcomic Magazine, and at one point I managed and edited the now-defunct Evil Network webcomics commentary blog.
