Soccer is Full of Cheese is a comic with short archives on Comic Genesis. It's opening scene is at a soccer practice and the plot appears to be heading to some kind of crush/relationship between new boy Scott and soccer team captain Adrian. I checked it out for the title (short disclaimer: futbol is awesome!) and while it's not what I expected, it has its moments. Artwise there's possibilities there and while it's too early to weigh in on plot or characterization at least there's the sense that it's headed somewhere. A little more work on pacing and staging of the actual panels of the comic along with more consistent artwork and it might be worth following up on. There probably is an audience for soccer+manga+chibi+bi-shonen comics that is not yet fulfilled!
