Webcartoonist and Halfpixel.com co-founder Kris Straub has glimpsed the future of webcomics -- at his own drafting table. His new strip, Chainsawsuit, premiered April Fool's Day, but it was anything but a prank.

"It's groundbreaking, smart, funny and totally built for social networks. I think readers are hungry for it," said Straub from his Dallas, Texas home. "A lot of history is being made here, by me."

"Basically I have become a history factory."

Chainsawsuit (chainsawsuit.com) combines topicality with the look-and-feel of Straub's previous socially-driven effort, Web You.0. Expect to see crossover soon -- and a Chainsawsuit book is already in the works.

"I'm living the dream," said Straub from atop a gilded novelty mechanical bull. "Now you too can live your dream."
