Interesting story from Rueters:
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian air force planes dropped a 25-kg (55-lb) sack of cement on a suburban Moscow home last week while seeding clouds to prevent rain from spoiling a holiday, Russian media said on Tuesday.
For years people have been calling other people crazy conspiracy theorists for suggesting that the government participates in Aerosol operations. I see them in L.A. all the time. I've lived 1 mile from LAX for most of my life, and I've seen the difference between a contrail and aerosol operations. Here's a article with a buried lead of " Oops yeah we almost killed a lady while SPRAYING SHIT IN THE SKY TO CONTROL THE WEATHER." And this is Russia. What do you think they spray here?
Other interesting tidbits buried in the article:
Ahead of major public holidays the Russian Air Force often dispatches up to 12 cargo planes carrying loads of silver iodide, liquid nitrogen and cement powder to seed clouds above Moscow and empty the skies of moisture.
And:
Weather specialists said the cement's failure to turn to powder was the first hiccup in 20 years.
20 years? You think the regular dropping of liquid nitrogen and pulverized cement for 20 years might have an effect on our air quality?
