I've mentioned it lightly, in passing, before, but I wanted to elaborate. Neal Von Flue got me hooked on this site, Stickam - it's like MySpace with webcams. For the most part, it's used by the young'uns to socialize, etc., but Neal and I've been using it for art jams.
Every Tuesday and Thursday night, 8:00 - 12:00 pm I log in and draw. (http://stickam.com/profile/fabricari)
I'd really like to see more artists get in on this. It's a much easier system than any other I've used. After you've created an account all you have to do is have your cam and/or mic plugged in, click the big "GO LIVE" button at the top of the stickam site, and you've got a webcast.
It uses Flash, so it's pretty universal and there are no adverts to break up the stream.
The interface includes a flash-based chat program, so folks watching can give you feedback, and if they have a cam set up, they can join the chat using video. You don't have to have an account with Stickam to join the chat, either. The accounts are only if you want to create your own video stream.
Stickam also has reserved chat rooms available for video get togethers. It's begging to be used for art-jamming.

Hmm. Just my luck
Hmm. Just my luck - Stickam seems to be down tonight. Oh well, I'll keep drawing, hopefully they'll be back after a kick in the server.And... it's back. 3 hours later. Ahem.
