SHOCKING~!

It's almost as if both have been built off of 100 years of the same interpretations of the source material everyone has made/

The answer is no.

Give me a fucking break.

Multiplex is a twice weekly humor comic about the staff of the Multiplex 10 Cinemas and the movies that play there.

I've decided.

Well... in the back of Edgington and D'Israeli's previous novel "Scarlet Traces", there are early rough drawings of the war tripods, with pretty much the same design as in the final WoW novel - art nouveau legs, bulbous heads and all. The drawings are dated 13-11-2000. Pendragon Pictures' website on the case says their own designs were on the net and in magazines "as early as April 2001". Not early enough for their case.

Unpleasant though it is, Mc Todd's commentary gives a pretty accurate assessment of Pendragon Pictures' other claims. There is little here that can't be explained by the common source or by the accuser's selective vision, and the similarities with the work of earlier artists proves the point.

I'll say this for the studio - their tripod design is magic. Better even than D'Israeli's, I'd say. Whatever else they got wrong or right, that rocks. I like it a great deal. But I also like Etherington and D'Israeli's work a great deal. And really, I don't much want to see those guys harrassed by doubtful accusations. That just isn't on.
