Etiquette and Immortality

Go to ImmortalityOkay, so the aliens over at Broken Voice Comics may be a little grey-skinned and grisly-looking but that's no reason to be rude, is it? In this week's instalment of Immortality, you can see Isaac Ephemer as he finally gets to meet the Infinites. And very impolite he is, too!

One little problem.

DAJB, I've been reading Immortality on and off -- it's cool, I like it so far. But I'm having a problem. There seems to be no 'Latest Page' link on your site. All the links I can find to the comic link only to the first page, and the only way to get to the last is to re-read every page of the comic. That makes it really hard to keep up to date, and it gets worse the longer the story becomes. I don't think I can page through the whole thing again (especially from work. ;) )

Am I missing an obvious link somewhere on your site?

Well, you get 100% for

Well, you get 100% for observation (and 120% for good taste)! No, you're not missing anything obvious ... there isn't a "Go to most recent page" link on the comics at BVC.

I have been thinking of adding one to the longer titles. They are already divided into units of some kind ("Shades" is divided into 14-page chapters and "The Spires" will be divided into 3 or 4 issues of 28 pages each). But, yeah, perhaps these units are still too long. Thanks for the feedback; I'll get onto that.

I don't plan to add one to "Immortality" (sorry!) because - when complete - it will still only be an 8-page short story and 6 of those are already posted. Anyone coming to it new after the next two instalments, therefore, will be reading it from the beginning anyway.Â

I hope that makes sense (and that you're enjoying the other BVC comics too!)

Thanks again,
DAJB.

Problem solved?

Okay - hopefully this will sort it out for you, Remus!

Whilst I'm reluctant to mess around with the actual comic pages themselves (especially for a short like Immortality), the trailer which I post on the homepage for each update will now include a link direct to the most recent instalment.

I've just introduced that for today's instalment of Shades and yesterday's update to The Spires

Come next Monday - there's no reason why that shouldn't work for Immortality too.

OMG - I'm not being guilty of fan-service, am I? Laughing

Good plan!

Fanservice requires nudity or something, I think. ;) No, this looks like a good plan -- thanks!

No nudity

Ah. No nudity in "Immortality", I'm afraid. Of course, next time you visit the site, you could always look in on The Spires. That's got nudity. (Some pages in colour, too!) Tongue out
